Almonry Barn | Muchelney | Langport | Somerset | TA10 0DQ
At the barn we are happy to provide the beautiful hayloft for your civil ceremony. The hayloft is full of medieval beams, exposed stone work and original hex signs carved into the woodwork. The hex signs were created to ward off evil spirits meaning your marriage will be blessed from the outset - a perfect talking point for guests. The hayloft is upstairs to the main barn so your entire day can be in one building. Due to having everything under one roof, come rain or shine there will be none or very minimal furniture movement throughout your wedding. The barn can comfortably seat 100 guests and this is our maximum capacity for day and evening.
If you are a member of the Church of England & meet their criteria for a religious ceremony, why not get married in the beautiful setting of St Peters and St Pauls church. With a medieval painted ceiling, working bells and Grade 1 listing the church is a truly picturesque place to say those special vows. Afterwards take a short 1 minute stroll with your guests to Almonry Barn for your reception.
Either venue provides a romantic, intimate setting steeped in history.
Registrar and religious wedding costs are not included and will need to be arranged separately. Ceremonies are only offered in conjunction with the reception being held at Almonry Barn.
